Supply Solutions

Turnkey Project Implementation

Ready to act, but short on the skills and resources to successfully implement?  This is where IT4A can really help.  Our team of consulting and project engineers are used to working across a variety of operational environments.

We will review your designs and optimise them for deployment.  We can use your hardware or, alternatively, provide a complete solution where we exercise our ‘Solution Partner’ relationship with leading vendors to get you a great deal.

Old School Values

IT4A bring the lessons learned from 25 years of OT network design, implementation and support to bear on every project.  Our full time team of network, infrastructure and cyber engineers and service desk analysts design for an easy life – high availability and seamless recovery.

Good Outcomes result from a robust and tested process.

The IT4A Project Process

Early Engagement

IT4A begins by understanding your local context, defining the project scope, and identifying challenges. We assess threats, risks, and organizational risk appetite to determine what success looks like.

We establish clear project deliverables, which may include:

  • Basis of Design
  • Detailed & Low-Level Designs
  • As-Built Documentation
  • FAT & SAT Plans
  • Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals

Smaller projects may combine these into a single design document. Our designs address risks early and set expectations for budget, outcomes, and timeframes, while considering local resources and compliance obligations.

Collaboration

Achieving Secure by Design requires close cooperation between the Application Provider, IACS System Integrator, and IT4A. Using Zero Trust tools and private networks, we ensure seamless, secure collaboration.

Design for Operational Outcomes

For compliance frameworks like CE+ and CAF, we design systems that are sustainable, mature, and resilient to personnel changes.

Train Your Team

Local expertise is essential for availability and security. We provide training to build knowledge, skills, and experience, ensuring your team is ready to take responsibility for the as-built system.

Test Test Test

Automate where and what you can.

Modern infrastructure—comprising switches, routers, firewalls, gateways, and hosts—is designed to communicate constantly, sharing status updates and performance insights. However, the sheer volume and complexity of this data make it impossible for humans to manually monitor, interpret, and act on it in real time. This is where automation becomes essential.

ICMP/SNMP polling tools monitor the health of your infrastructure, alerting you when thresholds are exceeded or statuses change. Meanwhile, SYSLOG data, ingested into a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system, can detect security incidents as they happen. With proper configuration, SIEMs can even highlight anomalies through custom dashboards, offering real-time visibility.

Without automation, these systems simply provide a post-incident narrative—explaining how a breach occurred. But with automation, monitoring, detection, and response, you can stop threats before they escalate.

Advanced automation goes further by normalizing and sanitizing data, delivering correlated insights from multiple sources to provide a comprehensive view of your infrastructure’s health and security.

Test Test Test

Testing should be outcome based and functional.

Test in the build phase to evidence the design has been implemented into the hardware and it functions and performs as expected.  This is the time to verify monitoring data is flowing and providing valuable insights into condition and security status.

Test in factory to gain evidence the application delivers expected outcomes across a secure, locked down, infrastructure. And that monitoring is now collecting alerts from host PCs & Servers.

Test on site where the system is deployed across local resources (cable, power) and accessing all resources. And that monitoring is now collecting alerts from all devices.

Test methods and maintenance procedures.  Are RAMS sufficient & impact statements accurate?

Test skills, are your local resources sufficiently competent to sustain the system.
